About us

Decostar is a wholesale and import company for indoor and outdoor decoration, situated in Apeldoorn (NL). Our clientele is garden centers, decoration and interior design stores.

Decostar was founded in 2002 by the Mulderij brothers, after they had seized the opportunity to import beautiful living accessories from Asia while they were running a successful flower store. Sales were successful and the two men decided to focus solely on the import of decoration articles: Decostar was born.

A few years later, Decostar had grown into a blossoming company, with a growing team of enthusiastic employees.
The company has even designed its own label: Countryfield.
The entrepreneurs are still responsible for the purchasing and development of the articles, which is why they still have to travel to Asia several times a year.

The Decostar articles make for atmosphere and character in interiors. The collection follows the current living trends and makes for a rural image.
Over 2,500 articles are affordable and often directly available from our stock. Because of he favorable prices, you get bargains in the store!
Twice a year, in spring and in autumn, new collections are presented.
Meanwhile, the collection is supplied regularly with new gadgets, both for indoors and outdoors.

There are various possibilities to purchase Decostar articles:

• A sizeable showroom has been set up in Apeldoorn, in which you can find our entire collection.
• An enthusiastic team of sales professionals travel all over the country to visit shops and to show you our collection in beautiful picture catalogues.
• Of course, you can also pay a visit to our stand at various trade fairs, where you will be greeted with hospitality and where you can place orders directly.
• You prefer to take the articles directly with you, and in smaller numbers? Visit our stands at Trends&Trade in the Dutch cities of Venlo and Bleiswijk.
• New is our web shop, designed especially for our regular clients!

The larger part of our collection is available from stock. Because of the growth Decostar has achieved during the last few years, the choice was made to outsource the processing of orders and to employ a specialized company for stock management and order picking. This company is established in a different locations, which requires quite a bit of logistical planning.
As a result, taking articles directly with you is, unfortunately, not possible.
