Decostar B.V. attaches importance to the protection of personal data. This privacy statement explains how we handle information about an identified or identifiable natural person, as referred to in the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
1. Controller The person responsible for the processing of personal data is the private limited company Decostar B.V., established at Nagelpoelweg 35 in (7333 NZ) Apeldoorn and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 08107455, (hereinafter referred to as “Decostar”),
2. Application This privacy statement applies to the following categories of natural persons whose personal data Decostar processes:
a. (potential) customers;
b. visitors to www.decostar.nl;
c. recipients of Decostar newsletters;
d. all other persons who contact Decostar or whose personal data Decostar processes.
3. Processing of personal data Decostar processes personal data that:
a data subject personally (during a meeting), by telephone or digitally (via e-mail or the contact form on the Decostar website) has provided such contact details and – depending on the nature of the occasion – other personal data;

5. Legal basis Decostar processes personal data based on the following legal grounds:

c. a legitimate interest, such as the use of contact details for direct marketing and/or sending newsletters.
Providing personal data is a necessary condition for entering into an agreement with Decostart. If no personal data is provided, it is possible that no agreement can be concluded.
6. Processors Decostar may engage service providers (processors) for the processing of personal data, who process personal data solely in accordance with Decostar's instructions. Decostar concludes a processing agreement with processors that meets the requirements of the GDPR. Decostar uses an automation company that manages and secures its IT environment and stores customer data in an ERP system.
7. Sharing personal data with third parties Decostar only shares personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation.
For the execution of an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation, it may be necessary, for example, to share personal data with, for example, a transporter and/or logistics service provider and customs.

13. Rights, questions and complaints To the extent that the law grants these rights, a data subject has the right to request Decostar to access, rectify, delete, transfer, restrict processing and object to the processing.
A data subject can contact Decostar about this by sending an email to info@decostar.nl. To ensure that the request for access has been made by a data subject, we ask that you send a copy of your proof of identity with this request. We also ask that the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone; the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN) be made unrecognizable on this copy.
